Uncontrollable Shaking During Labor Is a Thing — And You Can Thank Your Hormones

March 14, 2019 By Elizabeth

“Hormones run our bodyworks behind the scenes and most of the time, we don’t notice them at all until one goes off kilter or becomes dominant. Then we can’t help but pay attention.

Why expectant parents may want to hire a doula or designate a patient advocate

March 11, 2019 By Elizabeth

“Doulas can relieve stress by offering familiarity with and reassurance about the maternity and birthing process. Well-established doulas also have good working relationships with medical providers – and know where their role starts and ends.”
